After years of neglect these pages are undergoing a slow refit.
You will soon realise if you are perusing these pages that I have two hobbies that draw me to the north of France and Belgium. An interest in the Sites of the First World War, and these pages dedicated to a swiftly acquired taste for the stunning array of beers that Belgium and the nroth of France provide.
Over the past few years there has been a resurgence of beer production in Northern France with an expansion in the range of beers available from a growing number of breweries.
The land isn't suitable for wine growing but the French are now producing some very good beers along the Belgian border.
These pages will give a few details and ideas of some excellent beers. Some are plain, some are full of flavour, but there is one here to suit most moods. Certainly mine anyway.
