A new style for the site

I have been working on my Dead People site for some time trying to get things changed into a format that looks a little more modern.
This week I decided to do the same here; mainly because I need to test how to change the address using this database system and I would rather bugger up this site than the other one.
I found a general template that I liked and have been twiddling with the design watching it fall over, fail completely or work on one page but not another (which is really maddening).
I have imported a few ideas from the WW1 site which I like including the way photos are handled.
I have to look at the fonts and layouts for this template as they are not quite what I want but it is just a matter of a few tweaks here and there.
I’ll also back fill some of the older posts so that we can all appreciate bigger photies.

After ten years I got fed up with that and hadn’t updated anything in years. This time it was the War site that got the initial mobile phone make over. Now it’s this site’s turn. Lots to keep me busy, which is a good thing because this April has been the coldest for many a year — after a very warm March.
